Škoda has been unable to keep the anticipation at bay. Although the Peaq will not be officially unveiled until the summer, the brand has already disclosed almost everything there is to know about its largest-ever SUV, with only the camouflage yet to come off.
Measuring 4.9 metres long and 1.7 metres tall, with a 2.9-metre wheelbase, the Peaq is not only Škoda’s biggest SUV but also its roomiest. It will be offered with five or seven seats, while the boot can hold up to 1010 litres, or 299 litres in the seven-seat version. There is also a 37-litre front storage compartment, or frunk.
For the exterior, the production model adopts the Modern Solid design language already seen across the rest of the range. This includes the illuminated Tech-Deck Face, featuring vertical blades and LED backlighting. The remaining exterior details will be revealed when the model is shown without camouflage.
Interior remains under wraps
The Czech manufacturer has kept the cabin secret, although it is known that it will be available with five different design themes. Every version will come as standard with ambient lighting and a heated multifunction steering wheel.
The dashboard will also feature two displays: a 10-inch instrument screen and a vertically mounted 13.6-inch central display. These can optionally be complemented by a head-up display. The infotainment system uses the latest version of Android and supports apps including Spotify, YouTube and Google Maps.
Another significant addition is the sound system, developed with Sonos, which includes 16 speakers and a subwoofer.
The Peaq will also feature V2L (Vehicle-to-Load) technology, allowing the energy stored in the high-voltage battery to charge and power external electrical devices, such as bicycles.
Three powertrain options
The Škoda Peaq will be offered in three variants: 60, 90 and 90x. Outputs will range from 150 kW (204 hp) to 220 kW (299 hp), while driving range will vary between 460 km and 600 km.
When it comes to charging, the smaller battery supports DC charging at up to 160 kW, enabling a 10% to 80% charge in under 27 minutes. The larger battery promises the same charge in less than 28 minutes, as it can handle DC charging speeds of up to 195 kW.
With AC charging, every version is limited to 11 kW.
When will the Škoda Peaq arrive?
The Škoda Peaq will be officially unveiled next summer, although it will only reach the Portuguese market in January 2027. Prices have not yet been announced.
From launch, and as is customary with models from the Czech brand, the Peaq will also be available in a Sportline version with sportier design elements.
