Although it has only been on the Portuguese market for a year, XPeng has shown there is always room to improve, updating the G6 for 2026. Offered in three trim levels, the new Chinese SUV can already be ordered in Portugal from €46,690.
Subtle exterior updates for the XPeng G6 2026
While little appears to have changed at first glance, this model has received several revisions. On the outside, the wheel arches are now finished in the body colour, while at the front the “X” used as the brand’s logo has moved up onto the bonnet.
At the rear, the tailgate gains a new duck-tail spoiler which, according to the manufacturer, not only gives the G6 a sportier appearance but also helps its aerodynamics.
Revised cabin equipment
Inside, the changes are limited to two items: the central display has grown from 14.96 inches to 15.6 inches, and the steering wheel is now more compact. Added to this are inductive charging pads, which are now cooled, along with ambient lighting.
(Super) fast charging
The most significant upgrades to the 2026 XPeng G6 are hidden beneath its bodywork. The Chinese SUV retains its 800 V electrical system, but now uses silicon carbide (SiC) rather than silicon (Si).
The most striking figure concerns charging output, which rises from 280 kW on direct current (DC) to 451 kW - setting a new benchmark for the segment.
Charging power is not the only improvement. In the Standard Range version, battery capacity (LFP) increases from 66 kWh to 68.5 kWh, delivering an additional 45 km between charges and a total range of up to 480 km (WLTP cycle).
Conversely, the new G6 Long Range replaces the previous 87.5 kWh battery with an 80.8 kWh unit, cutting range from 570 km (WLTP) to 535 km.
The new XPeng G6 is, however, now more powerful. The Long Range develops 218 kW (296 hp), a gain of 10 hp, while the AWD Performance receives an extra 11 hp to reach 358 kW (487 hp). The Standard Range, meanwhile, remains at 185 kW (252 hp).
When will it arrive?
The 2026 XPeng G6 is already available to order, with prices starting at €46,690 and the first units due to be delivered next December. See the prices for every version:
