Marathon Airlines joins the IATA IOSA Register

Marathon Airlines, the Greek operator of an Embraer jet fleet, has announced the successful completion of its first IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA), carried out in January 2026. The airline has now formally joined the IOSA Register.

The IATA Operational Safety Audit is an internationally recognised programme that assesses airlines’ operational management and control systems.

Securing IOSA registration demonstrates Marathon Airlines’ commitment to maintaining resilient operational procedures, a strong safety culture and globally recognised standards throughout its activities.

Andreas K., CEO of Marathon Airlines, said of the achievement: “The IOSA registration represents important recognition of the standards established by Marathon Airlines and the discipline required to sustain them. It strengthens our position within the international aviation community and supports the company’s next phase of development, including fleet expansion, new partnerships and greater commercial opportunities. This milestone is not an end point, but an ongoing commitment to uphold and improve the standards that guide our operations every day.”
