The 2024 Jeep Avenger has now arrived in Portugal, bringing both a revised line-up and a new powertrain option.

Alongside the fully electric model and the “purely” petrol-powered version, the 2023 European Car of the Year now gains an electrified, specifically mild-hybrid, powertrain.

Called e-Hybrid, it pairs the turbocharged 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine with an electric motor and a 48 V battery - the same HYBRID 48V system first introduced by Peugeot.

Together, the system produces 100 hp and 205 Nm, and is available solely with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. Jeep states that the 2024 Avenger e-Hybrid delivers up to 15% lower CO₂ emissions than a petrol-only version with an automatic gearbox.

The Avenger otherwise retains its established powertrain choices: the fully electric version, with 115 kW (156 hp) and up to 394 km of range; and the combustion-only 1.2 TG, featuring the same 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine and 100 hp, paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.

Three powertrains and three trim levels

Each of the powertrains offered is available in three trim levels: Longitude, Altitude and Summit. The exception is the entry-level 1.2 TG 100 hp engine, which is offered only in Longitude and Altitude trims.

The entry-level Longitude specification includes 16-inch alloy wheels, a fully digital 7-inch instrument panel, a 10.25-inch central display, cruise control, autonomous emergency braking, traffic-sign recognition and parking sensors, among other features.

In fully electric Jeep Avenger form, it can additionally include automatic climate control, keyless start and a Mode 3 charging cable.

The Altitude trim adds 17-inch alloy wheels, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and a fully digital 10.25-inch instrument panel.

The range-topping Summit version stands out through its 18-inch alloy wheels and includes proximity keyless engine start, a wireless charger, blind-spot assistance, a 180° rear-view camera and 360° parking sensors, among other features. The fully electric Avenger also gains Level 2 semi-autonomous driving.

Prices

Prices for the 2024 Jeep Avenger start at €24,500 for the 1.2 TG, while the new 1.2 e-Hybrid requires an additional €2,000:
