This Nissan GT-R R35 all-terrain conversion still cannot find a buyer

Some ideas look brilliant right up to the point when they have to be sold. This all-terrain converted Nissan GT-R R35 is one such example.

Its stance looks as though it has come straight from the Mad Max franchise, while also bringing the Porsche 911 Dakar to mind. However, this Japanese model was created before the German sports car. We first came across it in 2020, when it was put up for sale for the first time.

Nissan GT-R R35: a distinctive all-terrain conversion

On paper, the formula may appeal to some buyers. In reality, it has one issue: nobody wants to buy it. Compare it with the 911 Dakar, whose 2500 examples had no trouble finding owners.

The car is being offered for sale in the Netherlands at around €99,500, which is above the average asking price for a standard GT-R of the same age. That high price appears to be why it remains unsold - and this is not a recent problem.

As mentioned, it has been on the market since (at least) 2020. Before reaching Dutch dealer Prins, it spent more than 1000 days at another dealership without finding a buyer.

It has at least been driven: over five years, it has covered just over 7700 km. Being unique is not always an advantage in the automotive world.
