Unrecognisable is the adjective most often used to describe the all-new, sixth-generation Renault Clio. Its bolder styling bears little resemblance to that of its predecessors, its technology offering has been expanded, and it introduces new powertrains, including a next-generation hybrid.
It has not yet arrived in Portugal - first deliveries are only expected at the start of 2026 - but the new Renault Clio can already be ordered and its prices have now been announced.
New Renault Clio range and prices
In Portugal, the initial line-up comprises three choices. The entry-level option is the TCe 115 engine, available with either a manual gearbox or an EDC automatic transmission. Above this sits the 160 hp E-Tech Full Hybrid system. Next year, the range will be joined by the LPG-powered ECO-G 120 EDC version.
Prices start at €21,990. Here are the prices for every version of the new Renault Clio:
Renault Clio equipment levels
The new-generation Clio is offered in three trim levels - evolution, techno and esprit Alpine - and Renault promises that each comes with a particularly generous equipment list.
Even the entry-level version includes features such as adaptive cruise control, an electric parking brake with an auto-hold function, a driver fatigue alert, a 10.1-inch central display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and rear parking sensors.
The techno trim adds the Google-integrated OpenR Link multimedia system, Multi-Sense driving modes, hands-free access, a reversing camera, LED ambient lighting and 16-inch alloy wheels.
At the top of the range, esprit Alpine brings a sportier character and exclusive finishes. Its standard equipment includes Alcantara upholstery, aluminium pedals, a wireless charging pad, 18-inch alloy wheels, Dark Chrome badges and a front grille with slate-grey details.
Safety, driver assistance and practicality
For safety and driver assistance, the new Renault Clio also comes with Active Driver Assist, blind-spot warning, a safe-exit warning for occupants and automatic braking while reversing.
Slightly larger than its predecessor and offering a boot capacity of up to 391 litres, the new-generation Renault Clio is clearly aiming to regain its status as the benchmark in the supermini segment.
For buyers seeking a fully electric alternative, that role will be filled by the Renault 5 E-Tech.
