KGM has been in Portugal for almost a year, and the brand has now expanded its range with the Musso EV, its first fully electric pick-up. The model will arrive on the Portuguese market later this month, with prices starting at €45,900.

KGM Musso EV design and load capacity

The Musso EV has a bold, muscular exterior, featuring full-LED lighting and substantial bumpers that underline the rugged character expected of a pick-up. It also comes with roof rails and lighting for the load bed, which can carry up to 500 kg of payload. To improve comfort, KGM has fitted a multilink rear suspension.

Inside (see gallery above), the cabin is centred around a panoramic digital display made up of two 12.3-inch screens: one central touchscreen and one instrument display. Equipment levels depend on the selected trim, either K3 or K5.

In entry-level K3 specification, the Musso EV includes dual-zone automatic climate control, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity, a wireless smartphone charging pad, two USB-C ports, rain and light sensors, keyless entry and start, plus a Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) system as standard.

The range-topping K5 trim adds a 3D exterior-area monitoring and ground-view system, along with a heated steering wheel and heated seats.

For safety and driver assistance, the Musso EV is equipped with lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and other systems.

Two power outputs, two ranges

KGM’s electric pick-up is available with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive:

  • 4X2 version: a front-mounted 152 kW (207 hp) motor producing 339 Nm. It completes 0–100 km/h in 9.2 seconds and has a top speed of 162 km/h.
  • 4×4 version: two motors, one on each axle, with a combined output of 175 kW (237 hp) and 630 Nm. It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 8.0 seconds and reaches 177 km/h.

Both versions use an 80.6 kWh LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery. This provides a range of up to 420 km on the combined WLTP cycle for the front-wheel-drive version, while the all-wheel-drive model offers 379 km.

KGM Musso EV charging and driving modes

DC rapid charging is rated at up to 300 kW, enabling the battery to be charged to 80% in 36 minutes. The vehicle also features intelligent regenerative braking and four driving modes: Eco, Sport, Smart and Winter.

How much does it cost?

The KGM Musso EV can already be reserved in Portugal, with prices starting from €45,900 for private buyers and €29,990 excluding VAT for businesses. See the full range pricing:

The model is covered by a seven-year or 150,000 km warranty, whichever comes first, while the battery is protected for 10 years or one million kilometres.
