The B-SUV segment is Europe’s best-selling and fastest-growing, and Škoda has set itself the goal of becoming one of the five biggest-selling brands in the European market. It has therefore brought out the big guns with the unveiling of the Škoda Epiq.

This is a prototype that is very close to the production model, which will be revealed next year. It joins an onslaught of European, 100% electric cars with “knockout prices”, including the new Renault 5 and Citroën ë-C3, followed in 2026 by the Volkswagen ID.2all, which uses the same platform.

It is still early days, but Škoda has already revealed that the entry-level version will cost around €25,000. From here, the story becomes even more interesting, as the following sections show.

Škoda Epiq offers more space

The new Epiq will be slightly smaller than the current Kamiq, measuring 4.1 metres in length. However, thanks to the more efficient packaging enabled by its 100% electric platform, the Czech brand claims it will have a 490-litre boot.

Although details of the electric powertrain are not yet available, it is known that versions with the larger battery will offer a range exceeding 400 km.

Škoda Epiq introduces a new design language

The Epiq will also debut a new design language inside and out. Called Modern Solid, it combines “robustness, functionality and authenticity”, representing the brand’s “next level of modernity”.

At the front, there is a completely redesigned look, centred on a gloss-black front grille. This is a modern interpretation of Škoda’s traditional grille - the Tech-Deck Face - and incorporates functions including a distance radar and front camera.

Lighting, wheels and efficiency

The model will also feature a prominent new spoiler and T-shaped Matrix LED headlights, positioned on a lower, secondary level. The Epiq will use aerodynamically optimised alloy wheels to reduce energy consumption and increase range.

Interior controls and digital key

Inside, physical controls will remain, although Škoda will also offer a digital mobile key option that can be operated solely via a smartphone.

The Škoda Epiq is the second of six models the brand aims to launch by 2026. We promise more details soon.
